“Students enrolled in special education programs has risen 30 percent over the past 10 years” (Neese). Both special education and general education teachers need to ensure that all students are receiving the appropriate supplemental aides to access the general education curriculum. It is important for all teachers to educate themselves with Assistive Technology (AT) to ensure they understand the basics of what AT consists of.
